Welcome to the Climate Atlas of the Czech RepublicThe Czech Hydrometeorological Institute and Palacky University Publishing Centre with the financial support of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and National Climate Programme of the Czech republic are releasing the most comprehensive processing of climate characteristics on the territory of the Czech Republic within the period of 1961–2000: The Climate Atlas of the Czech Republic. After more than 50 years the Climate Atlas of the Czech Republic offers many ways how to learn and understand a distribution of all common climate characteristics in the Czech Republic in detail, their spatial and temporal variations as well as their relationships. In addition, a long-term view is appended by a presentation of several extreme weather situations in recent years, e.g., the catastrophic floods in 1997 and 2002. The Climate Atlas of the Czech Republic features all of this in a friendly form with well-arranged maps and graphs with easy-to-understand comments in both Czech and English language.
